I found the other end I'd need to complete this remote mount vacuum block. Again, I'm going to use it to mount my oil pressure sensors and keep them off my forward facing oil filter housing. I need to find out what size npt or bspt I need for my ffofh. If some one can confirm, I'd appreciate it. Once I get that fitting, I'll order a 4an line, connect to the block from ofh and figure out how much and how to restrict oil to my fp green turbo.

I got my transmission back from the shop about 2 months ago. With the weather and other bs going on in mu life, I had put the car aside and lost a bit of motivation. Especially when I now have a perfectly running green, stock, gsx.

Anyways, I got my brother to come over Tuesday and we put the transmission back on. I spent a good 5 hours just now buttoning up the starter, mount and misc things.

Last month I purchased some liquid poly from home depot to repair my transmission mount and it is now solid. I also purchased some an kit from Amazon to finish up the remote mount oil filter housing splitter. I'll run the dummy light, low level and an aftermarket oil pressure gauge/sensor. I took my time running these lines and hooking everything up so I'm hoping this all flows well.

My 2g maf won't fit on this fpgreen so I'm heading to homedepot again to get me a 3.5 to 2inch coupler to add this intake. I don't know how to do speed density. I have everything for it but I am not there mentally. I forgot how to even mess with ecmlink and all. My brain has been focused on other things and I kinda put this all down for a few months, maybe even a year

I should be able to get it all back here soon. So once I install this intake, the rest of the piping, and fill this vehicle up with the fluids, I should be ready to turn it over once again. I'll try to get this done by Wednesday.

We have the same turbo, but you have much bigger cams and an fp manifold so mines gonna spool sooner. With that said though, you gotta let us know how you like spool up and etc with it.

Also, fp told me to run one of their oil feed filter/restrictor kits with my green when I asked and mentioned I had no balance shafts and unported housing. Weird.

I went through everything this past week. I put the gauges in, rewired some of my electrical, and put fluid in this machine. I rewired the wideband, and removed all the crimp connectors. I ended up soldering and replacing wires, do things properly.(at least better than before).

I just needed to add engine coolant and I decided to feel this transmission. I never checked it or moved it since I got it back. Anyways I tried to put it in gear and it would only go up and back down. It feels really stiff. I can't move it side to side, so no 1st, 2nd, 5th or reverse. Yes I remove the cables and tried to move the mechanism itself, but no luck. Man this made me sad LOL.

I was already about to start this thing up and now I need to take it all apart again. I went to the shop who took care of my transmission and let them know what is going on. They had outsourced or gave it to another shop because he didn't have a certain tool or maybe time, that's what he said. Well the other shop said they don't know what could be wrong and basically didn't try to help. The original shop said they will not use them anymore. He said to bring it to him and he'll check it.(which he should have from the beginning.)

Anyways, I spent a lot of downtime waiting on this to come back so I'm a bit discouraged. I'll be spending all day today removing it and draining fluid. I'll bring it to them back Monday.

I don't feel like I'm being jerked around because my uncle recommended these guys and we've known them for over 15 years. He works on automatics so I am not sure if there is a huge difference. He was sincere and apologized so I think we will get it right this time.

Most definitely will post updates and try to do a bunch of testing to see what i can pull out of this machine/turbo combo. Did you end up putting a restrictor? If so which one? I have no bs and mu housing is not ported as well.

I put the journal bearing restrictor on it that they recommended. Can’t remember the color. But I wanted to be safe.

I took the transmission off Monday and gave it back to the shop. I told him how much this transmission meant to me and how scarce they are. I mentioned if they needed parts or something new, that I had an extra fwd 5spd and I could purchase new, depending on what it is.

He understood and was real cool about everything and Apologized again. This gives me time to mess with some minor things I've noticed while butting up the machine.

I saw a very little leak from the front of the pan. I'll purchase some rtv and touch that area up. Maybe it's just me so I'll dry it first and see how it looks later this evening. I have a few more pan gaskets and the one in is new. Maybe some fluid fell on the lip, idk.

I'm going to go ahead and fill my front mount because it seems a bit thin and this could possibly help me in the long end. I'll look for other things to "clean" up.

I'll be checking on the transmission tomorrow. I just finished doing some small stuff w the vehicle. I had filled it with oil the other day and noticed a very small amount trying to seep through. I went ahead and removed the rockauto gasket and used some grey rtv. The front roll stop mount cured and was installed. It's pretty solid now. I'm happy

I picked up my transmission Monday. Some small rod wasn't aligned or fell out of place. The shop moved it over and it started .moving smoothly. I'm waiting for these pics.

I installed it Tuesday, and ordered an inline filter wit a .075 restrictor for my fp green. I had to pick up an AN female to female.

Friday and Saturday the parts came in and installed Sunday. I was going to replace the fuel but said eff it. It turned over with ease and started running. I miss the sound and feel so much.

I didn't leave it on but for a minute cause it was in the evening. Today I turned it over to check leaks and stuff. The idle was great but I just found another small puddle and my belt is a tad wet again.

At first I figured it was old oil that was just within the rubber and when heated it would seep out. I looked under and saw the small puddle and leak from the front side of the engine. The typical same spot which it has been for the past 2 years on this block.

I've replaced the seal, pump, gaskets, and recently crank and it still continues. I don't even want to take off the front cover to find out cause I'm tired of this shyt. I did revive this from a complete submerged vehicle from a horrible hurricane in Louisiana but still..

Tomorrow I'll tear it down from the front side and peek at it. I don't think there is any fixing this unless a sleeve for the crank but I don't know where or which to buy, no shop will even try and I'm not here to problem solve this now. This is exactly why I purchased my 91 gsx in factory condition. I just want to drive.

I'm going to start looking for complete bottom end or looking for super clean one to either transfer or use factory. My piping for my remote oil splitter is perfect and everything else is dialed in, it's just this leak from the front main seal.

Again, ima get my mind right and jump back in this here Tomorrow

Ok so I got the energy the next day and took front apart. I was looking closely and noticed my front seal on the crank is NOT leaking anymore. That means when I replaced the crank it fixed the initial leak. Looking at the front plastic cover and above the oil filter housing, I noticed a small puddle.

I took the ofh off and inspected it incase it was cracked. I also went over my torque specs on the bolts before hand. Everything was fine but I did notice the gasket seemed a bit thin. Almost paper thin and that's probably cause I used one from a kit that came with the oil pump.(I believe)

I have box of cosmetic gasket fiber material so I traced another gasket for the ofh. This material is so much thicket and seems proper. I don't have the oem to compare but looking how soaked it was when I removed the ofh, I can bet this may have been this new problem/leak.

The new gasket is on, I redid my timing and turned the engine on without the alternator, water pump, or front cover. I was looking for a leak or some sort of drip and I do not see anything. I didn't leave it on much but long enough to build pressure and I did hold like a 2k Rev up for a min. Everything is clean now. I confidently feel I have solved my issue now. I am.going to go over my torque specs and place the front cover, pump, and alternator back on.

I'll give an update afterwards.

On idle the vehicle doesn't leak. When throttle is applied it leaks at the pan. I purchased a new pan and just finished installing with rtv grey. I put the bead on the inside of the holes. If this doesn't seal, I think I have enough energy for one more tear down. I'm going to let it sit for 24 hours so I'll work on it again either Saturday or Sunday.

Again, I'm writing this into existence.. if it still leaks, I'll remove the rtv and use two gaskets, stacked. After that, I'm moving forward and throwing away the entire engine.

I gave the vehicle some time and picked up some valvoline 20w-50 oil. On the last update, I used 5w30 to check for leak. It's all I had at the moment and didn't plan on running with it.

I read from an older post not to use thinner oil cause I'll find all sorts of leaks. I don't know if there is any truth behind that but I wanted to see. With the 20w50 in it now, I reved it up to around 4 for a good 30 secs to get pressure up and everything looked fine. After I turned the vehicle off I did see one tiny drop.

I'm not sure if I mentioned but I picked up a new pan from rockauto. The threads were not the same as oem so I had to tap them out. Here is the location that I'm fighting but so so much smaller now. Dont mind the over fill of rtv. I put the right amount but after a week, I went ahead and patched some spots hoping to help hold whatever that may leak out LOL.

I plan on doing the same now but with jb weld. If I put rtv on top to patch or hold it in, it may not hold cause its a bit wet and I believe the surfaces need to be dry for a solid seal. I'll just dab a bit or jbweld on this area to get this pan sealed for life LOL.

Why is this happening???

uhh, what does this mean:
"The threads were not the same as oem so I had to tap them out."

The holes in the pan were not the same location? or you tapped new threads in the ???
The only threads in a pan would be for the turbo drain.
