1995 Talon Tsi AWD Build

I am trying to clean up my Talon and get it all back together. It has been apart for quite some time now and I'm really going to try and make progress. The progress will be pretty slow because I have to work on it between work and school.

I have always wanted to try road racing, and hopefully I can visit one of the tracks here in California after the car is finished.

Here is the talon back when I was driving it.

I have seen a lot of really awesome builds, and some really clean engine bays. I hope to also have nice new paint. I started practicing painting a little bit on this civic hood and other random test panels.

It was a really long process stripping down the engine bay and wheel well areas. I finally had to resort to sand blasting with aluminum oxide media.

It was pretty much all bare metal.

I decided to put some epoxy primer on it today, and hopefully get the paint on it next week.

Thanks. The encouragement helps me a lot. The panda is a really neat look, but I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to do with the exterior yet.

Go Panda dude, since you already have a white car i think the panda look would be great.

If my Talon was white i would defenitly thrown on a black hood and black rims.

I will definitely keep it in mind.

White is in the plans, but I am still unsure what to do because I have all the parts to do a 2gb eclipse conversion. I may just convert it to a 2gb eclipse and make it all white. It's more of a down the road decision though. For right now, the engine bay just needs to be painted so I can start getting things together in there.

I was able to get the paint on it last night. I think it turned out really well. I really like the color as it was intended instead of my faded dirty old paint. The pictures were taken only a couple hours after the clear coat was applied so it still looks a little wet. Anyways, this will probably be the last update for a while. I have a 6 bolt being built and I'll try to update when that comes back and everything is together.

Convert it to a 2Gb Talon and paint the roof white too.

I will probably change the front and rear bumpers, side skirts, and wing to a 2gb eclipse and paint the roof white along with the rest of the car.

dont know if your still going with eclipse conversion or not, but I wouldn't. People need to remember that its your car tho not theirs so you do it to your liking. Keep up the good work.

Build looks great but I'll be so sad if another talon is converted to an eclipse I agree the 2GB eclipse front bumper looks better but the 2ga talon body style is the most beautiful of them all IMO. Especially the pandas! But hey, it's your car and you have full reign to make it how you like

Ya, it's pretty much vader everything. Since I want to try out road racing sometime, I am hoping this will keep the temperature down a little under the hood.

I actually thought about going with a larger throttle body, and it is a little strange since everything else is upgraded. I just didn't feel like it would hold me back from my goals. Although I suppose the header and SMIM and aluminum rods are a little overkill as well.
