Are the 2.0L (4g63) DOHC cam gear and the 4g64 SOHC cam gear the same size? And do they interchange? I was wondering if a colored adjustable cam gear would work on my 4G64?

I have a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse spyder with the 2.4L engine and was gonna be changing my timing belt soon and have been looking for a colored timing gear for it but can’t ever seem to find one for a 2.4L and my question is can you use the 2.0L cam gear which I believe is for a 4G63 on a 2.4L...

What is each color for? And I would take it black is ground???

Could I ask you what size them reducer couplers you have on there are and what size pipe I was looking to do the same on my 4G64

So on these 4G64 2.4L engines is there any way of looking at the timing belt to see what kind of shape it’s in like can part of the timing cover be taken off to check it or is it all or nothin?

I am looking at changing my timing belt at some point and I was wanting to ask is there anywhere you can get a clear timing belt cover for my engine so I can keep an eye on the belt??
