Almost forgot!
Before sending to the tuner, I got the dash in and hood situated - new aerocatch latches and a custom made hood vent.
Car was cleaned after this image, admittedly.
Will have to get a completed interior pic once the car gets back.
Update 4/25Short update but got all of the above tuning issues resolved over the last weekend.
- Found a bad AEM wideband gauge/sensor which was causing most of the rough running (there are no other O2 sensors in the car)
- Replaced the MAP sensor since we were suspicious of it's actual...
Found at least what I think is the issue. More investigation to ensue, but here’s what I found.Fuel injector latency was set incorrectly.
I have FIC 1050cc low-Z injectors and found a previous data sheet from another member to reference to.
There’s some more tuning to do, but was able to get a...
Difficult to rule that out honestly. Car has been sitting all winter with about half a tank so it's possible. Although, it's fairly consistent after the car is driven and warmed up for about 10-15 mins.
Posting this log for historical bookkeeping.
If anyone has any advice, this would be helpful.P0300 code came on at 723s into the log.
For me, there does not appear to be any kind of trigger, so I am struggling to diagnose the cause.
Hello Everyone,I am running into an issue that I have not dealt with before, and I am not finding a good starting point through my searches.Car is recently rebuilt with a 6 bolt in a 96 Talon.

Update 4/17:Car got back home last week and I tried to make quick work on some things to get it put back together.First step was painting the cage. I just used Rustoleum oil-based enamel in smoke gray. It was a challenge to lay down but after some finesse and experimenting with different...
Yeah thanks for connecting on Discord!
I do wonder how you got all of your GL stickers - did you have them made up locally or just pick up from the track? I need to get a file made for GLTC stuff, I'm just not very handy with all of that.
Schedule is looking like this over the next few weeks.
- Get car back this weekend
- Paint/reassemble interior
- Dyno tuning on April 23-26 at Pure Tuning in Toledo, OHOnce it's tuned, will get suspension sorted for the GridLife Rev Up event at Gingerman on May 18-19.
First race is Mid-Ohio on...
The cage is not going to be FIA certified, although I do know the rules well. The FIA bar was just an addition I made. This will be made to race with SCCA, NASA, and GridLife, and this FIA bar is above and beyond those rules.
This is also still in-progress. The doors will be cleaned up and all...
Update 4/4Should be getting the car back from the roll cage installation but too excited to wait, so here are some more in-progress pictures!Back half of the cage, out of the car to be fully welded.Rear down tubes are placed up on the strut towers.
I decided not to go above the shock...
Update 2/12Small update from this weekend.
Roll cage was started progressing.
The base plates have been fabbed and are tacked into position. The seat mount has started and that took a turn almost immediately. We found not just one extra, but four extra holes in the exhaust, so that got...
Update 1/27Last couple of days have been pretty big!
Finally got the car out of the garage for the very first time. Ran it up the street once and immediately turned back around. I am sure there were a few loose suspension fasteners because there was a pretty significant rattle even at very low...
